Briggs Transportation has been responding to the transportation needs of its community on the Jersey Shore for over 60 years. Our offices are located in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, but we will take you anywhere you want to go.

Briggs Transportation was started in the early 1900's by Herbert Briggs. Checker cabs were used on the unpaved roads of this beach community during that time. As Point Pleasant Beach and the area developed, more vacationers stayed in town after the summer. Briggs grew with the community and their needs.

The Checker was the vehicle of choice until they stopped being made in the 1980's. Briggs now has a fleet of over 80 vehicles including limos, taxis, school buses, wheelchair-equipped vans and passenger vans.
